People living near the scene of an illegal rave which left 21 police officers injured are on the lookout for any signs of a repeat this weekend.

Thirteen people were charged in connection with the illegal rave at Twyford Wood, near Colsterworth, last weekend and another six were cautioned for possession of drugs.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “After the events of last weekend when an illegal rave was held at Twyford Wood, it is important that any suspicious persons or vehicles are reported if they are in the immediate area of the woods.

“The early evening on Saturday is a particular time of interest, as gaining access to the woods then gives an opportunity to take advantage of not being noticed.

“The gate at the car park off the A151 has been repaired, so any evidence of tampering with the now repaired gate should also be reported.”

Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident number 442 of May 23.
