Police appeal after fatal crash on Rutland road

A driver has died after a car crash between Manton and Edith Weston.

A member of the public called police to report the crash in Manton Road at about 11.30am this morning (Tuesday, November 10).

Police and the ambulance service attended and the driver of the white Vauxhall Corsa was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicle was involved. Police have only this afternoon released details of the crash.

The road was closed between Manton and Edith Weston to allow emergency services to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Detective constable 1761 Pete Davies, the investigating officer would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the car being driven beforehand or the collision itself. Call 101 quoting crime number LEP-101115-0226.
