Police appeal for information after a series of thefts in Rutland

Police are appealing for information after a series of thefts were reported in the local area in the last two weeks.

On January 30, a burglary took place in Brooke Road, Oakham between 7pm and 9.30pm. Thieves entered the property by smashing the back door and stole an amount of cash from the property.

Brooke Hill Academy in Brooke Road, Oakham reported criminal damage to its outside furniture and signs. The incident happened between 4pm on February 1 and 9am on February 2.

A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle overnight in Turnpike Road, Ryhall overnight on Thursday last week. Along with the attempted theft of another catalytic converter on the same night, from a truck in Limetree Avenue, Uppingham. Three males were disturbed whilst attempting to move the catalytic converter and damaged it in the process.

In Burley Road, Oakham a wing mirror was ripped from a vehicle on the evening of January 31. Along with a theft from a parked van in Siskin Road, Uppingham on the evening of January 29.
