Police attend Cottesmore Hunt's ball in Ashwell as saboteurs stage protest

A hunt ball was attended by police after saboteurs staged a peaceful protest.

Police were called to the Cottesmore Hunt's ball in Ashwell on Saturday evening (July 16) following reports of a small protest taking place by a saboteur group.

Officers spoke to the group, and recognised the right to peaceful protest.

A police spokesperson said 'no issues or concerns were raised'.
