Police called to Rutland Water nature reserve

A car park was closed after travellers moved on to Rutland Water nature reserve.

Leicestershire Police was called at 8.10am today (Friday, May 20) to a report of threats being made by members of the travelling community.

The group had been trying to gain access to the Rutland Water site in Sykes Lane.

All vehicles left the site this morning.

No arrests were made.
