The county’s police force has not ruled out the use of drones in the future, it confirmed today (Tuesday).

In a statement released to the media, the force said it was aware of national coverage regarding the use of drones as part of police work following trials by the Surrey and Sussex forces.

The statement said: “Whilst Lincolnshire Police have yet to embrace this type of technology we are always looking to enhance our effectiveness in the various operations and investigations we carry out.

“With this in mind the use of drones or other forms of technology by the force cannot be ruled out in the future.”
