Residents of Melton’s rural south beat will be able to raise any policing or community concerns with Eastern Counties Neighbourhood Policing Area Commander Inspector Lou Cordiner at an event on Tuesday (May 26).

The public engagement event - the first of a series being held across the policing area - will be held at Somerby Memorial Hall, High Street, Somerby, from 6.30pm until 8pm. There will be light refreshments and the opportunity to network at 6pm.

The session will start with an introduction from Insp Cordiner and will lead into a question and answer session for members of the public.

She said: “This is a great opportunity for residents of south Melton to come along and ask me any questions they have about policing in their local area. I aim to be as honest as possible when answering questions and would like to get a good idea of the general feeling towards the police in the area and Leicestershire and Rutland.”
