Police extend dispersal order for The Meadows in Stamford until 3pm on Monday, June 29, after continued reports of anti-social behaviour

Police have extended a dispersal order that was in place for The Meadows in Stamford after continued reports of anti-social behaviour.

Officers first issued the dispersal order on Thursday (June 25) after reports of large crowds congregating during the heatwave, including a fight minutes after the order was originally issued. It was due to finish in the early hours of this morning (Saturday, June 27) but a new one has been issued from 3pm today until 3pm on Monday (June 29).

The order enables officers to require a person, who has committed, or is likely to commit anti-social behaviour, to leave The Meadows and not return within a specific time. Anyone given a notice who fails to comply with it commits an offence.
