Police investigating crash in Stamford town centre

TWO drivers were taken to hospital after a collision in Stamford town centre last night.

A silver Vauxhall Corsa and a Ford Ka collided on the crossroads on Scotgate, Stamford, at about 6.10pm.

A 23-year-old man, who was driving the Ka, and a woman, who was driving the Corsa, were taken to Peterborough City Hospital with minor injuries. They were both released later that night.

The road was cleared and re-opened at about 8.40pm.

Police are investigating the crash and are appealing for witnesses.
