Lincolnshire Police's cyber protect unit has warned members of the public to be on the look for another banking scam.

In this particular scam, a fake Natwest e-mail is sent claiming the bank will be introducing new online banking authentication procedures in order to protect the information "of our online banking users".

Police have warned the email is fake and said anyone receiving it should not respond and rather report the matter.

"We've just been notified about yet another fake Natwest Scam Email," police said in a tweet.

"If you receive a suspicious email you can report it to Natwest by forwarding it to phishing@natwest.com #CyberProtect."
