A burglary at a bungalow in Morton on Monday is being linked to two other cases in Lincolnshire.

The occupant of a property in The Paddocks found a man described as white, short, middle-aged, with an English accent and wearing dark clothing looking inside the rooms between 5pm and 6.30pm.

Police suspect the man got in through a bedroom window and when confronted, he claimed to be there to cut the hedges before leaving when the occupant said they would have to call someone.

The burglary has been linked by police to two others earlier in the day also at detached bungalows in Syston and Ropsley, near Grantham, where an old silver car was seen in both cases.

Jewellery and cash were stolen from a property in Syston at about 1pm (incident 215 of September 21), but there are no further details about the burglary in Ropsley.

Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident number 391 of September 21, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
