Police provide support after incident in Station Road, Oakham

Police provided support to a man and his dog after an incident in Rutland.

Just before 2pm on Friday (March 25), police received a report that a man had caused damage to a car in Station Road, Oakham.

Officers attended and spoke to the owner of the car.

The man was also located. He was referred to partner agencies so further support could be provided to him.

Police also provided care for a dog which was involved in the incident before the animal was collected.

In a post on social media, PC Joe Lloyd said: "Our duty is to ensure the safety of those involved in the incident and the wider public.

"I would like to thank the public for their patience and offers of help for our four-legged friend."
