Police tackle traffic and speeding crimes in Bourne
Seventeen motorists were reported for traffic offences in Bourne on Saturday as police carried out an operation targeting the ‘fatal four’.
These are speeding, not wearing a seatbelt, drink driving and driving while using a mobile phone.
Speed checks were also made in Horbling, Billingborough, Pointon and Dowsby.
Deputy Chief Constable Craig Naylor of Lincolnshire Police said: "Policing a large rural area has many problems.
"We have a large number of deaths on the road and targeting poor driver behaviour is one of our priorities.
"This was an excellent effort by our special road team."
