Police warn of rogue traders in Kingsway, Bourne

By Dave Gooderham

Police have warned Bourne residents to be on the lookout for rogue traders selling driveway repairs.

PCSO Graeme Parrott sent out a Lincs Alert message yesterday (Tuesday, December 8) which said: “In the last week persons have been going door to door offering left-over Tarmac at a reduced price.

“This Tarmac is usually laid very poorly and when the job is completed, they increase the price dramatically.”

According to police the latest incident happened in Kingsway yesterday, when a 65-year-old woman was persuaded to make a purchase by three men.

PCSO Parrott said he wanted to hear from anyone who had been approached by the men or saw them working in Kingsway.

Call 101 quoting incident 239 of December 8.
