Police warning after spate of burglaries in Wansford

Wansford residents are being urged to be vigilant after a spate of burglaries in the village.

The first one took place on June 17, at around 12.45am in Black Swan Spinney, where a wallet containing around £300 was taken.

Another property in Swanhill was broken into sometime between midnight on June 25 and 6pm on June 29.

It is not known if anything was taken.

The latest burglary took place between 5.45pm on Wednesday (July 3) and 9am on Thursday (July 4) in Robins Wood, where electrical items including a sound bar and television were taken.

A 48-year-old man from Werrington was arrested in connection with the burglary where the sound bar and television were taken.
