COUNCILLORS expressed concerns about traffic in Bourne town centre.

Bourne Town Council members say that the sequence of traffic lights in the town centre was causing tailbacks in all directions.

Members also expressed concerns that the white lines were being ignored during the highways and planning meeting on Tuesday.

Police community support officer Graeme Parrott explained that there was no beeper on the multiple crossings in the town centre to avoid confusing pedestrians.

He spoke during the open forum.
