Campaigners trying to save Deepings library from Lincolnshire County Council cuts are holding a torchlight vigil tomorrow night (Thursday).
The protest event will take place outside the library building in High Street, Market Deeping, at 6.15pm ahead of the revised proposal on the library service being published on Friday.
Lincolnshire County Council have been consulting on plans to withdraw funding from 30 libraries in the county in a bid to save £2m year.
The council is asking community volunteers to take over the running of their libraries.
Deeping campaigners have insisted all along that they would not form a community group and want to keep their professionally run facility.
A petition with about 9,000 signatures on stating their feelings was submitted to the council by the group.
The revised proposals will be presented to the county council community and public safety scrutiny committee on December 2.
A final decision will then be made by the council’s executive on December 3.
