Dummy parking tickets given out from Monday

Have your say

From Monday, motorists will be given dummy parking tickets.

Lincolnshire County Council will be giving the blue warning notices during a two-week grace period before it takes over responsibility for enforcing parking restrictions on December 3.

There will be 20 parking wardens across the county, wearing distinctive navy and green uniforms, who will take to the streets to enforce existing on-street traffic restrictions including double and single yellow lines, yellow kerb no loading or unloading markings, and limited waiting times in parking bays.

The officers will not be set targets to meet.

Anyone with any queries is asked to e-mail parkingservices@lincolnshire.gov.uk or write to Parking Services, Highways and Transportation, Communities Directorate, Lincolnshire County Council, 4th Floor, City Hall, Lincoln.
