Four candidates bid for seat on Rutland County Council in Ketton by-election

Residents are set to go to the polls next week in a by-eledction to elect their county councillor for Ketton.

There are four candidates vying for a seat to represent the ward.

They are: Gary Conde, who lives in Empingham Road, Ketton, and is standing for the Conservative party; Liam Powell, from North Street East, Uppingham, representing the UK Independence Party; and independent candidates Martin Brookes, of Willow Crescent, Oakham, and Andrew McGilvray, of Church Road, Ketton.

Voting takes place on Thursday next week, and there are three polling stations where residents can cast their vote, between 7am to 10pm.

They are: Barrowden Village Hall in Wakerley Road, Barrowden; Ketton Library in High Street, Ketton; and Tinwell Village Hall, off Crown Lane, Tinwell.
