A short ceremony is taking place on Monday at the flagpole outside Oakham Library in Catmose Street.
The flag will be raised by a team from 2 Royal Anglian Regiment at 10.30am in a special ceremony.
Rutland County Council chairman Councillor Charlotte Vernon (Con), will address invited guests including representatives from the armed forces, local cadets and the Royal British Legion.
Local dignitaries expected to attend include the Lord Lieutenant of Rutland Dr Laurance Howard and High Sheriff Trish Ruddle.
