Ministerial roles for MPs Nick Boles and John Hayes

Re-elected Conservative MPs Nick Boles and John Hayes have been given ministerial roles by Prime Minister David Cameron.

Mr Boles, who kept his Grantham and Stamford seat in last week’s election, keeps his position as minister of state for skills at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. And John Hayes, who was re-elected in the South Holland and the Deepings constituency, becomes minister for security at the Home Office.

Rutland and Melton MP Alan Duncan does not have a ministerial role.

Mr Boles held the role of minister of state for planning taking on his current role. Mr Hayes has previously been minister of state for energy, minister without portfolio and minister of state for transport.
