A COUNCIL has not made a decision on whether to hire land to the Riverside Music Festival.
On Tuesday, Stamford Town Council’s amenities committee looked at the Riverside Association of Music and Arts application to hire The Meadows in July next year.
Committee chairman Coun David Nalson (Con) says no decision has been taken on the application.
This year’s festival was cancelled following a row between the council and the association over a damaged bench and councillors’ desire to see the audited accounts for the association.
Insurance companies for the town council and the association are working through the application.
The association has clarified that next year’s festival is due to be held on Saturday, July 7.
