Plans submitted to knock down Casterton House Rest Home in Stamford

A REST home could be demolished to make way for three houses.

Mr C Dunmore has applied to South Kesteven District Council to knock down Casterton House Rest Home, in Casterton Road, Stamford, and build homes in its place.

The application, which was submitted in July, includes designs for three five-bedroom homes with an access road. It states the new homes would have little impact on neighboured as their height would be less than the existing rest home.

Casterton House Rest Home caters for up to 16 residents and specialises in care for people with dementia and Alzheimer’s.

The home declined to comment about the plan to the Mercury.
