An RAF Airman who is serving in his fifth tour in Afghanistan has set himself a tough physical challenge.

Sgt Paul Partington, 39, from Greetham, is attempting to cover 1,366km, which is the equivalent distance from John O’Groats to Land’s End, using an indoor rowing machine.

He is taking on the challenge to raise funds for the Royal British Legion.

Sgt Partington is serving a four-month deployment as an avionics technician with IX (Bomber) Squadron. He is responsible for a team of eleven technicians working on the Tornado GR4 weapon systems.
