South Kesteven District Council holding drop-in sessions for people to have their say

Have your say

PEOPLE can have their say on council priorities at informal drop-in sessions.

South Kesteven District Council is holding the sessions, instead of local forums. The forums were dropped after a review found that people found them too formal.

There will be sessions at Stamford Arts Centre on Tuesday, at Bourne Corn Exchange on Monday, January 23, and at Deepings Community Centre on Tuesday, January 24. All the sessions will run from 4pm until 7pm.

These sessions will focus on the council’s projects, priorities and spending plans for 2012 and 2013. There will be sessions later in the year focusing on other areas.

Portfolio holder for engagement and corporate services Paul Carpenter (Con) said: “Residents and parish councils told us that they found the forums too formal and they would prefer an alternative format.”
