BBC Breakfast presenter Bill Turnbull has been announced as the guest speaker for an annual lecture.
The annual Len Pick Memorial Evening, which will be held on Wednesday, January 28,will bring Bill Turnbull to Bourne, where he will speak on his life and career.
The memorial lecture is organised annually by the Len Pick Trust, a charity founded by the late Len Pick for the general benefit of the townspeople of Bourne.
Trust chairman Charles Houseago said: “We organise this annual event to not only remember our founder’s benefaction but also to give our stakeholders the opportunity of hearing well known speakers on their doorstep as it were, who, in particular, have a special story to tell.
“Bill is a well-known and respected television professional, who, I am sure, will enthral the audience with the story of his varied career as a journalist and presenter during which time he has reported from more than 30 countries, and for four years was the BBC News foreign correspondent in Washington, D.C.”
The event, which is now in its ninth year, always attracts a capacity audience and as admittance is by ticket only, early reservation is advised to avoid disappointment. Tickets are available from Stephen Knipe and Co, 1a Abbey Road from Monday 15th December priced £4.
