Thousands of people are expected to attend one of Rutland’s most popular clothing and accessories sale taking place this weekend.

The annual Good and New Clothes Sale in association with Rutland Citizens Advice Bureau will be opening its doors to the public on Friday and Saturday at Barnsdale Lodge Hotel and Restaurant.

The clothing sale will start with a ticket only event on Friday evening from 5pm to 8pm. Tickets for the evening must be purchased in advance and cost £15, which includes a glass of champagne and canapes from Hambleton Hall.

Followed by the half price sale event on Saturday running from 8.30am to 1pm, where entry costs £5 and is payable on the door.

Over 70 rails of high quality and never worn clothes and accessories will be on sale, including a designer room, children’s room, accessories room and non-designer area.

The sale, which has previously been held in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, will this year support the charity For Rutland In Rutland.

Funds raised from the event will go to help the Rutland Wellbeing Partnership, in association with the Citizens Advice Bureau.

Organiser Elizabeth Mills said: “The annual clothes sale at Barnsdale Lodge is the first For Rutland In Rutland, however it is still the same team, same event and same bargains.”

To purchase tickets for the ticket only event on Friday evening, please call Trish Ruddle on 01572 724400 or you can e-mail trish.ruddle@ruddlemerz.co.uk.
