Praying on the Streets initiative is launched

A new initiative was launched in Stamford last Friday called Praying on the Streets.

Stamford Churches Together, which also runs the successful Street Pastors and Foodbank Schemes, launched the initiative for those that have a belief in the importance of prayer, even if they don’t count themselves religious.

Starting last Friday and each week, a small group of Christians will be available for an hour each Friday from 11am until midday outside St John’s Church at the end of the High Street, near Red Lion Square, who will be glad to pray for any situation that someone might bring and the hope is that people will find comfort, relief and healing as they receive a simple prayer from folk who care.
