For much of his retirement, Malcolm Christie has reflected on his football playing days as a glass both half-full and half-empty.

On first glance that may seem ungrateful.

Malcolm was fast-tracked from non-league straight to the Premier League with Derby County and made all but 28 of his 153 appearances at English football’s top table.
