Primary schools across Stamford, Bourne and Rutland reopen as planned as debate continues over whether it is safe with current coronavirus restrictions




Primary schools across the area are reopening today or tomorrow (Monday and Tuesday, January 4 and 5) as planned, amid a debate over whether pupils should return with the current Covid-19 restrictions.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said it is "safe" for children to be in school and said primary schools should reopen as planned except in a few areas, but the National Education Union has advised its members not to return.
