Principal of Stamford Endowed Schools, Will Phelan, returns home after fire
The principal of Stamford Endowed Schools has returned to his home after it was damaged in a fire.
On June 12 last year, a fire broke out at Will Phelan's family home, next to the Stamford School's chapel and hall in St Paul's Street, causing the roof of the building to completely collapse.
Following months of extensive repair work, the principal and his family moved back in at the end of last week.
A spokesman for Stamford Endowed Schools, said: “They are delighted and relieved to be back in their own home, and are extremely grateful for all of the efforts of the fantastic local Stamford companies who have worked so hard on repairing and restoring the building after the fire.”
