Bourne Old Town Hall to host evening with Fenland archaeologist and author Professor Francis Pryor

One of Britain's most distinguished archaeologists is to give a talk at Bourne Old Town Hall next month.

Professor Francis Pryor will share his experiences as a Fenland archaeologist on Saturday, October 9 from 7.30pm.

The excavator of Flag Fen and a sheep farmer, he has written 17 books including The Fens, a Radio 4 Book of The Week.

Bourne Bookshop will be selling his latest release, Scenes From Prehistoric Life, for signing at the event.

Scenes from Prehistoric Life is a journey through the evolution of Britain’s prehistoric landscapes in fifteen ‘scenes’ shedding revelatory light on the lives of their inhabitants.

Tickets are available from www.bournetownhall.org.uk/events-2 at £12 plus booking fee.
