Fundraising events at two Stamford pubs at the weekend raised £260 for #TeamGeorge.

Customers at The Golden Fleece, in Sheep Market, and the Millstone Inn, in All Saints Street, were offered the chance to buy cakes and try their luck with a raffle and tombola. There was also facepainting on offer.

Organiser Robyn Whitehouse, from Peterborough, was keen to help after reading about #TeamGeorge on Facebook.

George Robinson, 18, was hurt while playing rugby for Stamford School in South Africa, last July.

#TeamGeorge was set up to support his recovery rehabilitation
