London Inn puts outdoor seating in Sheep Market, Stamford
New outdoor seating has appeared in Sheep Market, Stamford.
Last month, The London Inn pub applied to Lincolnshire County Council for a 'pavement licence', allowing the business to seat additional customers outside.
As a result of the pandemic, the council has made it easier for licensed premises to apply for 'pavement licences' to entice back customers without packing pubs while social distancing remains important.
Nick Pistolas, owner of The London Inn, submitted the application for picnic benches in Sheep Market seating 16 people.
With nine picnic benches surrounded by railings covered in colourful faux flowers now stationed next to the Queen Eleanor Cross, it seems the business was successful in its application.
