Pupils at Bourne Grammar School have been evacuated following a suspicious phone call




Pupils have been safely evacuated from a school following a "suspicious phone call" this morning (Tuesday, October 20)

Children were seen gathering on the playing fields at Bourne Grammar School at around 11am.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: "We are in attendance at Bourne Grammar School in South Road, Bourne, following a call this morning reporting a suspicious phone call to the school.

UPDATE: bomb threat closed school

"Emergency services are in attendance and as a precautionary measure all pupils and staff at the school have been safely evacuated.

"Members of the public should avoid the area while emergency services attend."

The East Midland Ambulance service also sent a vehicle to the scene.
