Safety online is focus of lessons at Colsterworth Primary School

Safety concious pupils at Colsterworth Primary School have been taking part in a series of E-safety workshops to promote safety online.

Children attended workshops based around traditional tales. They entered the ‘Three Little Pigs’ game by putting in a safe and secure password. Once in the game, the big bad wolf was trying to get the first little pig’s address, the name of the second little pig’s school and the third little pig’s phone number.

A spokesman at the school said: “We all knew that we should keep our personal information private and the wolf did not trick us. We learned a chant ‘stop, get off, tell’. We then learned how important it was to not talk to strangers when Little Red Riding Hood thought she was talking to her Granny but she was actually talking to the wolf.

E-safety co-ordinator Miss Bergmann added: “The workshop covered all aspects of e-safety. It was taught in a fun way and the children didn’t even know they were learning.”
