Sixth form prefects raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity after blaze at Stamford School

Sixth form prefects from Stamford Endowed Schools are fundraising for The Fire Fighters Charity after a blaze destroyed the roof of the principal’s building.

No-one was injured in the fire which broke out on Friday, June 12, at the building in St Paul’s Street and although significant damage was caused, the quick actions of the firefighters were praised for preventing it from being much worse.

Now 48 prefects from Stamford School and Stamford High School are walking, cycling and running to cumulatively travel the distance of the English Channel, 576km, before the end of the summer term, and have already raised over £750.
