Queen’s birthday honours announced

THE Queen’s birthday honours have been announced and a number of people from Stamford have picked up gongs.

Picking up an OBE (Order of the British Empire) is Janette Elizabeth (Jan) Campbell, the founder and chair of trustees, of Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) Association. She claims the award for services to education.

Meanwhile, two foster carers from the area have been made MBEs (Members of the British Empire):

Audrey Elizabeth Simmons, foster carer, Lincolnshire County Council, for services to families.
