Two Guys Co to open in former Rutland Radio building in Melton Road, Oakham

A shop specialising in cheese, teas and local produce will open in the former home of Rutland Radio.

Liam Richmond and Tom Wassell, also known as Two Guys Co, have made it their mission to bring something different to Oakham.

Having closed their Two Guys Deli during the pandemic, they are now opening a new business in Melton Road, which used to be where Rutland Radio was based.

Tom said: “We are starting over again, primarily as a cheesemonger and loose leaf tea specialists.

“We did lots of market trading while the shop wasn’t open, and when we open the new shop we are hoping to include a range of local products.”

The new shop will also have a café and will provide a range of ‘quick and easy, grab and go foods’.

While the produce on sale is likely to prove a big draw for many customers, dog-lovers are also likely to find something they like in the new shop.

Biggie the French bulldog has become an unofficial mascot for Two Guys Co, with people dropping in to see what is happening at the Melton Road store and to say hello to Biggie, Liam and Tom at the same time.

An opening date has not yet been announced.
