A PRIMARY School pupil from Langtoft has won a prize for his unique cake recipe.
Jack Hall, 11, is a pupil at Langtoft Primary School and entered a cake competition at the East of England Christmas Festival and won over the judges with his recipe for a clementine and almond sponge cake covered in marzipan and sugared icing which he called “Jack Frost”.
The cake was sold over three days at the festival, and Jack won his school a cut of the profits.
Headteacher James McCullough said: “We got about £200, and the school will give Jack the choice of what he thinks the money should be spent on.
“A big congratulations to Jack and his team of chefs.”
