A group in Rutland has celebrated its first birthday in style.
The Rutland Red Hatters was formed a year ago and more than 40 members of the group turned out to the production Anything Goes at Uppingham Theatre to mark the occasion.
The group was set up to provide friendship, freedom and fulfillment for women aged 50 and over in the county.
The show was followed by a party in the theatre’s bar, which featured the group’s own version of the Can Can and a presentation of all the poems and letters submitted from members over the year. The group was also presented with a red hat birthday cake.
