THE residents of a Stamford road turned out in force for a jubilee street party today (Tuesday).
With a competition for the best dressed house and table, the residents of Ermine Way had gone to great efforts to get the street and party looking the part.
With barbecues dotted up the street, there was a steady flow of food being served and drinks enjoyed.
Children from the road had their faces painted and played an array of traditional games like smack the rat and apple bobbing with music sounding out across the normally quiet road.
Joint organiser Claire Parkin said: “It is great, there has been a fantastic turn out and everyone has made a lot of effort with their houses and their tables.
“It has brought the street together. We have had a lot of new families move into the street in the last few years so it is good to get to know them and what a fantastic reason to get together and celebrate.”
