Residents put out blaze in Bourne before fire services arrive

A tumble dryer caught fire at a house in Bourne.

Fire services were called to a home in Austerby at 2.10am this morning (Friday). But residents had already put out the fire using a garden hose.

The tumble dryer, a washing machine and some clothes were damaged in the fire.

The utility room also suffered light smoke damage.

The fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault in the tumble dryer.
