Resurfacing set for West Street in Bourne

By Tim Coulson

Improvements will be made to the road surface in West Street, Bourne starting this Sunday (July, 5).

The Lincolnshire County Council Highways Alliance will be upgrading the condition of the popular shopping street which will protect it for more than ten years.

The work has been scheduled for Sunday, July 5 and Sunday, July 12 to keep disruption to local residents and businesses to a minimum.

To complete the work safely and efficiently the road will be closed to motorists from the Exeter Street roundabout to the North Street junction, between 7.30am and 5pm.

No parking will be permitted between midnight and 10pm each Sunday.

Temporary two-way traffic lights will be in place at the Exeter Street roundabout to enable works to be carried out up to the roundabout.

Pedestrians and shoppers will be able to safely pass through the works using defined crossing points, and highways workers will be happy to help them do so.
