Discount retailer Poundland is considering a return to Stamford in the premises which were previously occupied by Argos

A discount retailer could return to Stamford after closing its High Street branch six years ago.

Poundland has approached South Kesteven District Council with a view to opening a store in the space previously occupied by Argos.

Conditions were placed upon the Markham Retail Park to limit the amount of shop space dedicated to food sales, and these would need to be altered for the move to take place.
