A village has paid a special tribute to three of its sons who lost their lives on the battlefields of the First World War.

A link road to a new development in road in Haconby has been named Wyer Close as a tribute to the family who lost all but one of the four sons they sent to the war.

Haconby and Stainfield Parish Council were approached last year by developer Marcus Wallis to come up with a name, tying in to the history of the village.
