A girls’ football team helped shoppers back their bag to fund a new kit.

Oakham club Royce Rangers has experienced a rise in interest from female players in recent months, growing from two teams this season to four teams next.

A new kit was needed, so players decided to take fundraising into their own hands by holding a bag pack at Tesco in Oakham. The girls spent about four hours in the store and raised £475, which will help pay for 10 full kits.
