Council officers are analysing the results of a speed survey.

Rutland County Council recorded traffic in both directions along Barleythorpe Road in Oakham for seven days. The survey was held after complaints that people were driving too fast.

Director for places Dave Brown said: “The results from the survey will now be analysed in relation to our existing traffic calming policy, where after we will consult local residents and the police if further action is required. A final decision over any action would then be taken by cabinet.”
