Rutland County Council leader reiterates call not to come to county as people try to visit closed Rutland Water

Rutland County Council and Anglian Water are urging people not to travel to Rutland this weekend to visit Rutland Water.

Following changes to national lockdown restrictions by Government on Sunday, May 10, allowing people to travel to exercise, there has been a significant increase in the number of people visiting Rutland to exercise at Rutland Water, which remains closed.

Earlier this week, Coun Oliver Hemsley, leader of Rutland County Council, said the county was "not ready for visitors yet".
