A GUITARIST is hoping adrenaline will overcome nerves when he performs at a rock music festival on Sunday.

Jim Burkitt, 24, of Preston, will be performing with his heavy metal band Knock Out Kaine at the Download Festival, which runs today until Sunday at Donington Park in Derbyshire.

Last year’s event attracted 120,000 people. Knock Out Kaine will be performing on the Pepsi Max stage at 11.45am on Sunday.

Jim, a former Uppingham Community College pupil, said: “This is going to be the pinnacle of our career so far. We have performed at festivals across Europe but nothing as big and as renowned as Download.

“I’m really looking forward to it.”
